The Kelly Kettle is the perfect solution for urban survival in that it can boil 1.7 litres of water with very little fuel. including wood, charcoal, grass, paper, cardboard, and dung.
Made in Ireland, the kettles were traditionally used by Irish Fisherman. In 3-5 minutes you've got a good boil on.
More and more families are now turning to holidaying in the sunny UK with an ever increasing number turning to camping for their main annual holiday.
One of the home luxuries you will not have to sacrifice for your nights under the stars is a nice cup of tea or coffee. Just ensure you take a camping kettle with you and you can have a nice hot drink whenever you want.
A camping kettle couldn’t be any simpler to use, you just position them above the heat of a small camp fire or on top of a camping stove and sit back and wait for the water to boil.
If you pick a whistling camping kettle then the kettle will produce a whistling sound when the water is boiled, probably reminding you of the old stove kettles your parents or grand parents used to use. If you don’t have a whistling kettle then you will need to keep an eye on the kettle until you see steam coming out of the nozzle, remember, these kettles do not turn themselves off!
Most camping kettles have a capacity of 2 litres or 4 pints which will give you enough water for about 4 – 6 mugs of tea when filled.
