It eliminates most of the residues and impurities that other kinds of filters might have left out. One drawback, however, is the absorption of useful minerals along other impurities. According to health organizations, water without minerals can be equally harmful. Therefore, these elements must be re-introduced in order to make the water healthy in true sense.

UV filter systems: In these kinds of filter systems, a high frequency light is introduced into the water container. The light instantly kills all the organisms present in the water. Though, it is a quick and rapid way to filter a glass of water, the result is never guaranteed without a laboratory test.
